From day one Millar has looked like a really good signing - he may lack the occasional moments of absolute brilliance that we saw from Philogene but I think his consistency in general play will make his contribution to the team much more valuable. This is developing into a really exciting squad which will only improve as confidence continues to grow.

Certainly puts the mockery of the brains team to the sword doesn’t it ? I’m not sure we could have found a better range and quality of players across the team , they are all technically good with the ball . Pedro and Puerta to come plus back up keeper and central defenders - probably a squad that will always perm into a competitive team if injuries come .
Yeah, I mean things could still very much go tits up and some of the players playing well now could turn into utter donkeys, equally things could even feasibly get better or stay the same, time will tell on that - in another week and a half's time we could have lost 2 or 3 and be back to slagging TW and the brain trust off, but for now, things are looking promising.

I wonder when we last won 3 games in a row by at least two clear goals. It surely can't happen very often.

the third of the three consecutive wins scoring 3+ goals in september 2012 was 3-2 at leeds, i'm afraid, so not two clear goals. however, the better news is that we won three games in a row by 2 or more goals during our promotion season from league one. so, in feb and march of 2021, we won five in a row, all by 2 or more goals:

feb 27 afc wimbledon 0-3 city
mar 2 city 2-0 rochdale
mar 6 city 2-0 bristol r
mar 9 peterborough 1-3 city
mar 13 city 2-0 oxford

earlier that season, in nov 2021, we had six consecutive wins by 2 or more goals, but only three were league games. one was fa cup and two were football league trophy. but, again, three in a row in the league.

in oct-nov 2015 we had five successive league wins by 2 or more goals (and conceded none)
oct 20 city 3-0 ipswich
oct 24 city 2-0 birmingham
(there was a 1-1 with leicester in the capital one cup here)
oct 31 mk dons 0-2 city
nov 3 brentford 0-2 city
nov 7 city 3-0 middlesbrough

in march 2008 we had four in a row by 2+ goals.

note: i might have missed runs across season ends.
