Good point, especially away from home, thought they dominated possession, which means we have a lot of work to do in the summer.
The goal conceded was disappointing, free man in the middle, not sure if that was supposed to be Cartwright’s ball, so that was his man? But he did well overall.
The Ingram injury is a real worry, hope he’s ok. Anyone know the Baxter situation?

at first i thought shota was gonna be way out of his depth with no idea how to manage in the uk/championship and the first couple of games bore this out. but after the last two draws and not getting battered v fulham i'm a lot happier and when the summer signings arrive i have faith he will be able to mould them into a well organised side as opposed to pie in the sky/molten turkish delight

A good point especially in the circumstances, but what looked like an excellent day at half time has turned into a bit of a mixed bag. Need at least 4 points from the next two but preferably all 6 with Reading finally showing up

The fact Barnsley are the only club in the Championship without an away win so far this season sends a shivervdownn the spine...

Indeed it does - I remember us going to Oakwell needing one win for promotion against a team who, according to some on here, were as good as relegated already - we got a good spanking; Barsley may, like us, be lacking a bit of real quality but, again like us, will be battling their hearts out. I have a feeling its not gonna be a good game for those with 'poodle' tendencies (they know they are).

Good point and they all add up but I feel that’s 2 points dropped. We need to be better in possession. For almost the entirety of that added 15 minutes, we hoofed it straight away when we got the ball. I hope we don’t sit this deep against Barnsley and Peterborough. Those two games we should be looking to get 6 points from.
I reckon QPR feel the same, probably with a little more justification.

I bought a Trevor Francis tracksuit from a 'mush' in Shepherds Bush some years ago...

Draw 1-1.

Oh well,at least I got something right today cos the horses are still running.

Well done City, good point, great away support and my best wishes to our brave keeper...

It's certainly not 2 points dropped, they improved 2nd half and deserved something

After Fulham, I think it was Chazz who said on here he was disappointed we didn’t go for it more. We got a hard-won point against Sheff Utd and another today.

That being said, after play restarted after Ingram’s injury (wish him a speedy recovery btw), we were under the cosh and sat deep for the rest of the game. When we managed to win the ball back, we just hoofed it forward and Tyler Smith, the poor bastard, didn’t stand a chance against their mountain centre-halves.

I trust Shota is making us a difficult team to beat first and foremost and Fulham, Sheff Utd and QPR are all promotion contenders, but I do hope we don’t sit as deep against Barnsley and Peterborough.

Under Grant we always went for it and largely struggled at this level. You can't go for it against the top sides with our quality of players, it's suicide. It's 2 great points and we move on.

There's oceans of difference between the last 3 we've played and Barnsley & P'boro. I'm sure he'll go for it more but I'd imagine he'll still be pragmatic too. If we have Allahyar, Wilks and Eaves on the bench it makes it a little easier but if we are as we are today it makes it tough

This, absolutely.

It was Cartwright’s league debut today but not his senior debut - he played in the Pizza Trophy against Leicester last season.
