The last three times I've watched us play the Ruperts, we were 3-0 down by half time, so I thought I'd swerve the game today and fulfill some family commitments. Thank **** I missed extending that record to four times.
There bloody wasn't Beth he has to take the can as he has the power to change it Within 5 minutes Fulham couldn't believe their luck IMO Henry needed to come straight on and Mackie off he was nothing apart from a fit jack Russell and is so thick he set a stupid tone by chasing lost causes , he was counter productive Henry would of allowed the little Aussie to actually play Instead Parker won the match and he is a has been ... Tonight he will think he is Peiro . You need to set Parker chasing then you know you are on top yet he sat in acres on his own Players any players will look lost when the set up is as daft as today and it was straight from the kick off and JFH didn't see that until we had lost the match it could of been 5-0 easily before half time Dreadful and I fully expect failure having been inside the club. Shattered dreams for me the club needs to wake up. I have never felt so low about our club it's a complete mess from top to bottom
I'd take Steve Bruce over Jimmy Fraud in a heartbeat. Hull (and Burnley for that matter) lacked the quality to survive in the Premier League last time out, but they nevertheless looked like a real team, and still do. You look at the Rs since they won the Championship in 2011 and rarely can you tick enough of the 'proper team' boxes that would convince you that they have anything of merit. Reliable goalkeeper? Nah! Footballing, mobile centre-halves? Do me a favour! Backs with a reasonable mix of both attacking and defensive prowess? You're having a giraffe! A balanced midfield of sufficient ball winners, creativity and guile? Seriously? At least 5 players that are comfortable on the ball and can both make and receive a pass? Ahem! Leaders all over the pitch? Bleeders all over the pitch, more like! An effective striking partnership? Austin & Zamora? Look how that worked out! A dead ball specialist? An appalling waste of talent. I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.....ad infinitum.
Very fair reading of today's debacle by someone who's clearly feeling the same pain as me. I liked JFH as a player. He may one day be a great manager but at this level he is incompetent and I hope he's not given too long to get up to speed.
Yes Corker, I am out here. Just having a cup of tea and realising that others may have had an even worse day then me. That has made me feel an awful lot better. I promise to have only a minor rant but yeah.......**** day all round from a sports perspective. Without reading what others have said about the game and the performance, all I can say is, if I was TF and I had spent £200M++ on this club, I would sack somebody after that shocking performance. Every single player should be made donate this weeks wages to a fund and every single QPR fan should have their ticket money refunded. From start to finish, we were second best. Certain players are simply not good enough. I wouldn't like to target individuals but we have players who wouldn't have got a game in our League One team of 12 years ago. Somebody on another thread compared Grant Hall to Alan McDonald in the past 24 hours. Sorry but Grant Hall and Nedum Onouha were torn to shreds by McCormack and Dembele. At the moment, Grant Hall is not fit to lace Macca's boots. I brought a QPR fan from Ireland to only his second QPR game in 20 years today. On the way home he says to me, "I feel like I went to see a game that didn't happen". Our midfield were totally overrun from the off. Jamie O fecking Hara ran the game. Can you imagine, some people think we have a decent midfield and none of our players could get within 5 yards of Jamie O'Hara. Our midfield is not bad when Faurlin is running the show and keeping possession. Without him, we just hoof the ball forward and we don't tackle. I hope the anti-Barton brigade watched that game today and realised what we lacked. A midfielder with a bit of bite who will put a tackle in even if he hits row Z with his corners and free kicks and gets stupid red cards and writes **** on twitter. For the first time in my life, I booed as the half time whistle was blown. I have never done that but it felt good to air my frustrations. Another first for me was leaving the ground after 65 minutes. I was totally embarrassed at what I was witnessing. I got up at 5am to witness what can only be described as a shocking performance. Following a team like QPR, you always try to lower your expectations in an attempt not to feel too disappointed when the inevitable losses occur. The manner of that defeat today was gut wrenching. I feel for all 15.000 QPR fans who had to sit there and watch it. Shamed.
Am I I was going to click 'like' for that Finglas, but liking your pain wouldn't be appropriate. We need an 'empathise' button.
I think today is the 'eureka' moment when so many of us who'd perhaps misguidedly believed we were beginning to turn the corner got a short, sharp, shocking dose of reality. We have a squad that is hopelessly incapable of playing 'team' football. Static, clueless, leaden-footed and totally lacking inventiveness. There was mention of Hull and Burnley in previous posts, they haven't reinvented themselves, they were decent hard-working teams last season that just weren't good enough to stay up but were still far better teams than we ever were. Their managers have instilled a strong team ethic and they are strong challengers again this season. Where is our team ethic? There will be no quick fix here, until we have a nucleus of players who are comfortable on the ball and play to a level that they maintain possession rather than treat the ball as a hot potato we will continue our gradual decline whoever the manager is. Any thoughts of promotion even next season are pure fantasy...
When you think they were forced into a change away from home after 5 mins we would have got at them at bit but alas no. Watching I was fairly certain JFH was trying to hold out until half time before making his changes so as to save his own face as it was an awful line up to start with. Interesting that Henry never came on, I told the world about his super sub abilities years ago, but no one listens. Henry for Captin....I think he's the only leader we really have left.
Just got home from that shambles of a game so haven't had a chance to read back through the posts, but any player rated more than a 2 out of 10 then they weren't watching the same game as me. Absolutely shocking performance, I couldn't argue against one of the songs the Fulham fans were singing, we are indeed ****ing ****!
Sad Sad reading this club is heading for disaster very quickly needs a big shake up pretty damn quick
I'm not in the Henry hate club, I appreciate he tries harder than most but he is categorically not a leader absolute madness to suggest he is.
Poor game from us. But even when we won the Championship just a few years back we had a few, eg 4-0 at Scunthorpe. .. way over the top reaction to a defeat, similar to the one when we scraped a win at home last game. Nothing is built io lost in a day.
