It's a disappointing result but we were poor for 70% of the match. Forest were pressing us and quicker to the ball in the first half. We spent too much time standing off in the 10 yards outside or box which was inviting them to shoot. Basically, Freedman got his game plan spot-on and responded to changes much better than Ramsey did.

Even down to 10 men we should have been more compact and right in their faces every ball, a 1-1 would have been a bonus considering our overall play but we couldn't even re-organise to see the game out.

Ramsey needs to seriously consider bringing in a loan striker to complement Charlie as he is struggling as a single striker the way we're playing...
I didn't see anything of the game but please don't tell me we need to go back to 4-4-****ing-2......

Charlie was out of the game for long periods, if we need to chase a game we have few options and if he gets injured we're well and truly f*cked...

Apart from his goal Austin was awful. He did what he's paid for but otherwise he screwed up every half decent attacking move we had, if he got involved at all. He is part of our problem all right.

Rob Green has just ruined the last day of my holiday. Doesn't surprise me though, he's been costing us for a while and will continue to do so.

Smithies in for the next 3 games is a welcome sight, he's a talented young keeper and we should all be behind him. I don't want to hear about Daniel Bentley, he's not our player so I do not care.

Just one game for professional foul I think

He didn't look that talented for Forest's second goal, but time will tell

Disappointing result lads
Can't comment apart from its early days
In four or five matches we should have a clearer picture
See a few infected knee keepers are blaming Henry or rubbishing Hoilett or Green... Need to sort your nuts out

I fully expect those three players will win us matches going forward

Plenty of Perch about

My first game of the season. Poor quality football, 3 keeper's mistakes with Green'one when we were starting to control the game.

Positives: ned, doherty, gladwin.

My mate used to be the GK for Huddersfield and is still very associated with them. When we signed Smithies he said he would be worth a few points this season...................to the opposition.

Smithies always seemed to be more of a journeyman type of League One/Championship player - Huddersfield were likely happy to get the cash from us for him.

Meanwhile McCarthy continues to play well with Palace 0-0 home to Man City. He is certainly taking advantage of Speroni's injury.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni says he is battling back to full fitness after sustaining a hand injury in pre-season.

The Eagles cult hero partially tore a ligament between two fingers in his right hand during a training session in South Africa and is expected to be out for at least another four to six weeks.

However, the 36-year-old is due to have a scan on the injury this week and is hoping he will be back sooner rather than later to challenge new signing Alex McCarthy for the No.1 jersey at Selhurst Park.

Spot on mate. We are not going to win every game. This is the Championship and loving it!

Henry shouldn't have been allowed near the team after disappearing last week especially when Doughty played well in his absence. What message does that give to the younger players who are then dropped for a useless kunt who absconded the week before?

Tramore this division is cack. No matter what way you slice it. Forest were rubbish and any half decent side would've dispatched them easily. Someone started a thread last week asking is our team this year better than last year's. Last year's side were never this bad. We are woeful and Ramsey doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

Henry didn't lose us the game today, blaming him is a bit tribal, though I do think he plays better as a late sub.

Lack of communication between Ned & Green cost us. :emoticon-0106-cryin
