You didn't see the game, but you are certain that Henry, Hoilett (?) and Green were not to blame. Well you are right about Hoilett.
@Robert1Green: Second sending off in 550 games.Disappointed to be the catalyst of defeat and can only apologise.Hoping for 275 more games till the next one
I don't bookmark Jack Sh*t! I just stuck "Swords Cardiff" into the search engine with you as the poster. It ain't Rocket Science
Thanks for loading the clip Stan..... I was waiting for someone to do that. From our seats people were blaming Ned for a poor backpass......it was a not a bad backpass at all.... He badly controlled it....the worse he could have done was hoof it into the crowd. Entirely Greens fault I am afraid. ..and don't say he should know Green is craps.....you don't have players in the team who can't handle simple balls like that........and for all those players that were dissing the team today.......both teams were poor in first half.....we scored and were more than threatening to take over after we scored. Bearly can I remember a 2 second incident that so changed the match. True the team should have coped better.....and held out for a draw.....but this one was 110% down to Green. I hope Smithies plays really well on Wednesday....enabling CR to keep him in the team. End of rant
Now I've slept on it, thought I'd give my assessment of the game. Went to LR yesterday fully expecting three points, left absolutely fuming at the teams display. To begin with, it's poor management from Ramsey putting the two new watford lads in. Broke up a winning team, plus I'm pretty sure Toszer was playing for Hungary during the week. Looked knackered by about the 15th minute, although I'm not sure whether that's his general lack of stamina and physical prowess or the fact he played for his country. Him and Henry looked like they were running through treacle at times, constantly a yard off. Toszer made a few good cross field passes but that was it. I understand injuries etc may have played some part but I wouldn't have stuck two debutants in straight away, but hey ho. Angella seemed to not want to mark the Forest forward. Hall replaced him and looked far, far better. Solid display. Konchesky and Perch were also poor, the latter constantly diving in. Luongo was the best of the bunch out of the midfield 5, and probably should have stayed on after the red card. LR curse doesn't seem to have found him, and he kept the ball well. Chery and Phillips were non existent for practically the whole game, chery in particular. Two holding midfielders at home against Forest (an extremely poor side btw) is definitely not the way to go, and again shows poor management by Ramsey. The midfield, for me, was probably the mist worrying aspect of yesterday's game. They were neither here nor there. Massive gaps all over the pitch, and not much support for Austin, at times an isolated figure, but who could also have done so much more to help the cause. Not sure how it looked on the TV, but he simply didn't look interested at times. Put us Infront with a well taken goal, but seemed frustrated other than that. Last word will be on Ramsey. Why on earth did he not make a substitution after the Forest penalty? A couple of minutes after they scored the first, I could FEEL that they were going it get another. Our midfield looked shot. It doesn't even have to be a sub for fresh legs etc, just do something to disrupt the game and stop Forests momentum. Straight after the second goal, gladwin comes on. Too late. Ridiculous.
I have to agree with most of that. For me, Tozser wandered around in the middle of the pitch for most the game and was partially at fault for the second goal. It was clear to me from about 30 minutes into the game that wasn't engaged. Grant Hall looked far more solid than Angella when he replaced him. I have no issue with sticking with 4-2-3-1 but the ball must go quickly to the front four. Flashes of good interplay second half but we missed Faurlin incredibly.
Just watched the "highlights" on Ch5 - WTF was Green thinking when he could've just punted the ball upfield? Not sure how much the ball deflected for second goal but Smithies should've been stronger wristed and push that round the post
....and you took the trouble to do that? jeez that's sad that you feel you have to score points in such a way. Perhaps we shouldn't say anything in future because you'll go on a search and throw things back weeks and months down the line to support your viewpoint. Would you have still felt such a view if we had won or drawn yesterday? No don't bother answering because i don't really care........
Grand Swordsie, thanks......just had a long stressful week and having to work today as well.....ain't much fun.
Agreed on Tozser. I'm not sure about him and he makes Kranjcar look quick! I actually thought that Angella looked a very good player till he had to go off. Having said that, I like Hall too. Agreed on Perch. I thought Konchesky was fine. Henry did struggle. Luongo was our best player. Austin was poor, but scored again. Chery and Phillips were poor. Nothing wrong with two holding midfielders if the front 4 are functioning correctly. We missed Faurlin hugely as usual. Ramsey did get his subs wrong. Luongo should never have come off, unless it was a fitness thing. JET should have come on, not Gladwin, who looks poor imo. Forest were very solid and well organised imo.
