Obviously only time is going to tell but most of us are reasonably optimistic CH will do a decent job. The players have few excuses now as they have 1 year of Premier League experience under their belt (something lacking this time last year) and they know they can compete at this level (certainly up to a point).
I am inclined to agree CH will have some pressure from certain parts of the crowd as we want to remain in the top flight if possible however I do think the pressure on CH will not be as great as they are on Mark Hughes and if we do go back down the world is not likely to collapse around our ears.
That is something I think most of us are trying to say - TF and QPR are trying to raise the bar at quite an alarming rate (nothing wrong with the ambition) but if you guys have a similar season to last there are going to be quite a number of disgruntled fans I would guess as the expectations are getting higher. If for some reason you end up getting relegated it could be a problem, especially if you do not bounce straight back up. Hence my earlier post that a new stadium (especially the size proposed) is a risk but it has become a necessary risk for your club as Loftus Road is some years behind many grounds now.
The way I view it, and this is not directly a slant on QPR, is.....What have the following clubs all got in common.
Coventry City, Southampton, Derby Co, Leicester City, Leeds Utd, Ipswich Town, Middlesbrough?
The answer is they all tried to reach for the stars and got a little too ambitious too quickly and all got relegated with financial difficulties. I am also pretty sure all those fans of those clubs also believed their chairmen and club would not let it happen either and that all the finances would cope with it etc.
That is where we are coming from. While a proposed huge stadium is a great prospect, history would indicate that it is not always a great idea and it seldom seems to work in the short - medium term. Southampton are the only team to have come back from it so far and it took them a long time to manage it.
