What should be QPR's punishment

Cardiff City - Family Club of the Year  As for back to the Welsh league...we've never played there so how can we go back?

As for this whole QPR scenario... it's ridiculous that it's been left until now to be resolved! If they are found guilty then surely a points deduction is the appropriate punishment? It is the biggest deterrent to stop the rules being broken in the future.

Also, if QPR are found guilty and fined in similar circumstances to West Ham would there be any large compensation claims from whoever finishes 3rd/7th? If this is the case and the payout is similar to the £20M paid to Sheff United this would be £40M. Can QPR afford this expense? I know their owners are stupidly wealthy, but are they legally responsible for paying the clubs obligations from their personal wealth?

seems to me that a £5.5m followed by 4x £30m in compensation paid out over 5 years to the 4 clubs that are in 6th and higher that don't get promoted is fair. that £125.5m should then be taken out of their club leaving them in the **** with European new rules over operating expenses. That is fair, that's what they did to West Ham.

What league are you in though you ****ing mug?

Your club is ****ing ****, you've had 2years in the top flight in your history.

Impressive.

That wasn't the point was it you daft prick. One of your fans claimed we'd embarassed ourselves in the Prem, when your club has turned out some of the most embarassing teams and put in some of the worst performances in the history of the Premier League.

As far as I recall, the only thing anyone associated with our club did did that was even remotely embarassing was Phil Brown's karaoke. That's Phil Brown who - oh, the irony - is a Sunderland fan and born and bred Mackem.

And we know we're a small club, and aren't as big as Sunderland, but you need to get over yourselves mate.

Well done anyway to QPR on the pitch. You was the early pace setters and stayed there the whole time without much trouble.

I think you should get promoted on the pitch but QPR do need to be punished. Weather its a fine or points QPR knew the rules and they broke them.

I'm glad QPR have gone up, and a points deduction that costs them promotion is unnecessary and cruel on the supporters who've followed them for 46 games and seen them play like the best team in the division.

<ok>

Why should this be a global thread? when most fans have enough on there own plate, what with relegation knocking on the door, so how come a southern supporter deem nessasary A GLOBAL ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,? WHERE HAS HE BEEN? never heard of him before, a word to this ,,,,,,trying not to swear,,,,,,,,,,
person. learn the site, its about all clubs ,,,, even yours. so bonny lad, take it to Dagenham / Croyden etc etc. check out the response there first, then bring it to my club. we have a very nice way of telling you to **** OFF.

Ironic getting all uptight about Location when your profile says your from Pappendrecht Holland.. Nothing on these boards would have any regional significance.... No idea what or who you might support..

I don't really understand what your saying but the person who started this thread is called Proud_Fox which I guess is a Leicester fan not a QPR fan and on the point of it bieng 'global thread worthy' loads of people that AREN'T QPR fans have posted on here.

I don't really mind what happens to QPR, Faurlin hasn't exactly set the league on fire, but global threads are a good idea, it's nice to get everyone's opinion rather than sticking to one board <ok>

I'm not advocating a points deduction, and if there is one, it should be next season. But by what measure has Faurlin not been an important player? Player of the Year ahead of Taarabt last season, first team regular in a midfield that includes Adel Taarabt and Tommy Smith this time.

I don't go along with the "Warnock is a hypocrite" line. If the rumours of him getting sacked are true, then frankly QPR should suffer the same fate as Swindon, just to save them the misery of a protracted slide down the divisions under that board. But assuming he is staying on, they should get the same punishment as West Ham: a fine of £5m and £25m compensation to whoever comes third (or the losing play-off finalist if the third placed team get promoted).

I think a fine will be imposed to save the FA`s face and nothing more the steptoes have pissed this league this season and deserve to go up , just wish they would have let us get a draw today!

I think they should be docked fifty points at least - for having an absolute twat as a manager, an arrogant set of drama queen fans and for playing with a lesbian in goal!

The idea of a punishment means that it should hurt the offender.A fine of £6 million wouldn't hurt Bernie Ecclestone. He's a multi millionaire. It did hurt West Ham,because they were broke.Thats why a fine is no use in this scenario, the only option is a points deduction.

Completely disagree. Rules should be applied universally. They generally are and the West Ham precedent means that QPR should be fined but nothing more.

I say now the ****s are promoted, relegate the ****ers, who needs another trip to london?

Apart from the man utd fans who live within 2 miles

Yeah because london is SO far away! <doh>

Well done QPR I say, can't see it being taken away from you.
