Hard one this.
1.Thought Elder and Christie were outstanding for starters.
2.Connolly. said in the pub beforehand that I fancied him to score today, but drat, the betting shop on Prinny Ave has closed down.
3. Seri, that lovely little pass through which led to the second goal was delicious.
Mention in despatches for the ref, one of the better ones.
McLoughlin and Jones at the back never looked in danger. Our crowd picked up in the second half too, ending in a great atmosphere, so much for the 'fear' of playing at home.
Loved it. And the 'mauled by the Tigers' chant.

Christie
Connolly
Seri
Could've put them in any order tbf....and genuine qn have we ever had a more technically brilliant cm player than seri? Even in the PL, and considering players like geo, hudds et al I don't think we have

Seri ... simply magnificent ! If it was me I'd give him the captains armband permanent, the way he orchestrated the team today was fantastic

Connolly - Rosie may have just uncovered a gem there

Christie - dependable and a threat,

Btw ... for those critical of our transfer dealings, take note, all 3 are newbies this season !

Just got back to Shropshire after my first visit of the season to the MKM. Couldn't get over the change in atmosphere from the last few seasons. The place was really buzzing today - it's a long time since I can remember such a positive feel around the place. Brilliant to see the change.

As for man of the match it could be anyone on the pitch in City shirt. But if I have to pick I'd go with the majority on here

1. Connelly
2. Seri
3. Christie

Connelly
Elder
Seri

Beating my usual drum here but Elder is just so underrated. Brilliant tackler, really brave, strong in the air and although he didn't get much chance to show it today, he's got a track record of creating goals with crossing too. I think he's been really unlucky to be out of the side for the last couple of months. In 3 and a half years here he's been a consistent 7/10 but he doesn't get the recognition for it.

Elder looked very confident today.

Definite top 3 right there.

Docherty was excellent today. Always hurrying and barely put a foot wrong.
Tufan gives us so much more an edge.
Elder should retain his place after today, even if just to keep Seri off taking corners.
Jones was stalwart.
Oscar's play today was fantastic and would have almost certainly scored a couple if it wasn't for the own goal getting turned in and some last ditch defending.
Ingram made some excellent saves.
Mac looked good but once or twice made things more difficult than they needed to be which put some pressure on.
Slater came into it later on. He's wasted out wide though (but when needs must). First half he seemed like the only one close to being a weak link. Might be harsh but there were a few moments where he wasn't quite on the same level as the others today. Might be harsh as he adds to the team in ways others don't.
