The commentator said England have never lost to an African team and it got me thinking, I wonder if Scotland, Ireland or Wales have. The colonies know their place.

I can’t say I gave it more than ten seconds thought to be fair
Enjoy your day eric, us pommies will.Well done England, well done. I would suggest packing on Saturday afternoon though, because you'll be on your way home on Sunday morning.

We should be hoping England win the cup, imagine all those Man City players on a high and being given a week off on their return, chance for us to pull off an upset
Let me think about that for a while, and review recent history. I'll get back to you.I expected better from you Eric… we’re the last commonwealth team in the cup. You should be supporting your brethren.
Based on that logic I think it would be best if it was a Spain v Portugal Final. We should be hoping England win the cup, imagine all those Man City players on a high and being given a week off on their return, chance for us to pull off an upset
England would be the nearest one we've played to an African team. The commentator said England have never lost to an African team and it got me thinking, I wonder if Scotland, Ireland or Wales have.
Then it dawned on me, it’s unlikely they’ve ever played one![]()
I agree it looks like an impossible route, but stranger things have happened. What caught my ear during the commentary on the England match this morning was the following stat, I haven't checked it though, that England have currently scored one more goal than when they won the tournament in 1966.From here it appears England would have to beat France, Spain and then Brazil in the space of around 10 days. That's incredibly unlikely.
I like the French and the Spanish but hate Brazil.
