We'd have to lose the final group game by 4 goals not to qualify for the next stage and that's when the competition really starts. The sides with tournament experience and in with a serious chance of making the latter stages don't stress about the group matches as it's all about getting the job done.
If we make the quarters then that's about a par score with anything beyond always seen as a bonus.

The disappointing thing with England is they have the creative players to possibly win the thing if they just Bielsa'd it and went for it every game. Sure they'd lose every now and then but if they got themselves on a good run they could be unstoppable.
Instead we have Southgate who is just a coward hoping not to get beat against sides he doesn't think we can bully.
