Gotta say though… it was still a flukey goal with the deflection, as was the first in truth… and the giroud winner against England coming off Maguire’s shoulder. You need the breaks to win cups and the French have been getting them.

France have enjoyed relatively stress free wins without getting out of 2nd gear.

Bloody annoying and yes I'm rather envious of how easy they make it look.

maybe it was stress free because you’re not French. I seriously doubt any French fans found the quarter or the semi stress free!

agree on the annoying bit though

seriously… they were defending leads so that encourages teams to sit back a bit… and they have upped the tempo when they’ve needed to… but an element of fortune in all their goals in the last 2 matches.
