Yarm is a popular stop off for Hull City fans en route to Boro. Been many times, once famously when the local Hunt was meeting. The local police ignored the illegal hunt and tried to round up all the City fans and move us on. Never had lunch there though.
Not a patch on Beverley, which is absolutely lovely and only eight miles from the centre of Hull.

Agreed, Beverley is better.

Well, Stoke fans got what they wished for and Pulis was out. Of course they are now in a division lower, but hey, they don't have to suffer Pulis's boring football so should be happy.

To be fair, Pulis was sacked in 2013 and they went on to finish 9th for 3 consecutive seasons. Which was higher than they ever finished under Pulis.

Took another 2 seasons to get relegated so I don't think to two events are particularly linked.

Don't think he will have lived, or even spent a lot of time, in Middlesbrough. Which, as a post industrial dump, is no longer polluted or smoggy, just an ordinary, everyday dump. A bit like people still saying Hull is a dump which stinks of fish.

Still does stink of fish sometimes in SW Hull when the weather's warm and the wind is from the south.

The 'stink' of fish is much healthier than the chemical haze which blighted/blights Middlesborough
