OK. A quickie (I hope because I have to go out at 1pm.). Who was the last Englishman to manage a team to the title of one of the big 5 leagues (ie. England,France,Spain,Italy,Germany) ?
I think that this is a symptom of a wider malaise in English football and the development of the "buy success at any cost now" mentality that has permeated the top clubs.
