The photograph was made in 1944 or 1945. The aircraft was not designed to carry passengers and as civil air transport flew in a dangerous place.
A V1 Doodlebug test pilot? I'm sure I saw a film about them. I think that they were unstable and most pilots crashed. Mind you, the aircraft wasn't supposed to land "properly". Or I could be talking twaddle... has been known, alas.
Hornet-Fez no. The V1 could fly with a pilot only, the body was only big enough to have one person where the bomb was. For another clue this airman is British.
No answers are correct so far. The aircraft was flying in Europe from somewhere in Britain to another nation not really part of the war and the aircraft was for its time very fast.
