Apart from being the railway capital it's also always been the most important ecclesiastical centre in the country - prior to Pope John Paul 11 (the one from Poland) the last non Italian Pope had been born there well over 400 years before.

All yours BB. Utrecht has direct international rail services with German destinations, Belgian, French and Luxembourg and also direct with Switzerland. the clue about the airport referred to Schiphol Airport Amsterdam (which is in fact closer to Utrecht). Over to you. The city was the biggest centre in the Netherlands prior to Amsterdam taking over that role in the later middle ages.

You mean when describing a 'lovely, big, old, rounded, white, Japanese wooden house' <laugh> This is grammatic and describes the proscribed adjective word order when using several to describe an object. Opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origins, material, and purpose. Apart from the opinion - more or less the order you would perceive these when approaching an object.

    Back to football...
A Scottish international player created an innovation for his club's stadium - one that quickly spread to stadia around the world.
What was it and which club was first to benefit from it?

No. Arsenal were the first to install permanent floodlights, but the FA refused to sanction their use. The innovation I'm referring to happened roughly during the same period, but in Scotland.
