It looks like help may be needed...

The sketches are of a couple of fossilised creatures found in Scotland - creatures thought to be the first to indulge in a very specific behaviour.

This doesn't appear to be going anywhere - perhaps too obscure? I'll give the answer and let someone take over...

The fossil is of an oddly named fish - Microbrachius dicki - which used to inhabit lakes (lochs?) in what is now Scotland. Its claim to fame, according to scientists, is that it was the first creature to reproduce via copulation rather than by spawning. I guess we all owe it a beer...

Over to whoever wants to take the baton...

Ok. BB. I'll step into the firing line. Which railway station in Europe directly serves the most international destinations (ie. without changing trains).

Funnily enough, it ,might be Koln.
    If not, then Bruxelles Midi
Whatever, I spent a late evening at Cannes, watching the night trains to places like Zagreb , Madrid . Exotic. So Nice would be my next guess !

Not so far away Bodbo. Two of the places you mentioned are directly served from this place.

Nope not Leipzig (nobody in their right mind goes there <laugh>). It's very close to one of Europe's busiest airports (though the airport is named after a neighbouring city).

Apropos of nothing at all, I got robbed once on a train from Munich to Turin. Had to cut short a holiday due to lack of funds. :(

Ok. a few clues. The City is in the centre of it's host country and is, not surprisingly, it's railway capital. It was also the biggest City and main cultural centre of the country up until the middle ages.
