Cheers Yorkie - a biological one: Of all members of the feline and canine families which species consumes the highest percentage of vegetable matter in its diet ? So much so that they were falling ill in zoos because the keepers initially fed them on a heavily meat orientated diet.
The police in Rotterdam were once called to the Cities zoo as a result of their urine smelling like cannabis ! The percentage of vegetable matter consumed by them is over 50% in most areas where they live in the wild.
Am guessing that the answer must be a canine of some sort as felines are obligate carnivores and don't have the ability to digest vegetable matter. Wolves?
You're right on it being a canine BB. Although Snow Leopards do consume vegetable matter more than other felines. The animal I'm thinking of is not native to Europe.
If you have one in the garden (which is impossible in Europe, and unlikely anywhere else) it might be an advantage to protect your tomato plants !
Nope, not Jackals. Another clue is that this is the biggest wild canine in the part of the World where it lives. Unfortunately for him he also often shares his area with a big merciless cat !
Wrong continent BB. A couple more clues. 1. It is not a member of a gang ! (rather solitary actually) 2. It is the tallest of wild canids 3. It forms it's own genus 4. It has a symbiotic relationship with leafcutter ants !
