Chail Cricket Ground is 200 miles away and was established in 1893. I’m assuming Sir Garfield is banned from playing there.
I was about to give this as a clue: It was Steve Palmer, yes. All because he’d been to university! No stereotypes there, then. Captain of Cambridge University ‘Blues’, he played in three varsity football matches and one varsity cricket match, the captain on that occasion was his friend, Michael Atherton. Over to you, bb.
Cheers andy - one for the Francophiles on here. Where does the Champs Elysees meet the English Channel?
have been pondering on this... . and do i remember something about this... Is it the river See at Avranches?
No - that's in the Manche department. The one I'm looking for is in Seine-Maritime - it's famously short.
It is the Veules, the shortest river in France, I believe. There is a pathway that runs alongside it from the sea to the village of Veules-les-Roses - known as the Champs Elysees - am not sure if it's the same length as its namesake though. Over to you.
We have red, yellow and green departments at present and maybe we will not be able to move out of green departments. Anything like that in the UK?
