Why was buttercup revived by brandy at the 'Hole in the Wall' `?

Is this the story about Buttercup the cow, who decided to go for a swim in the Leeds Liverpool canal. When she emerged from the nearly mile long tunnel at Fowlridge, she was revived with brandy.

All yours Frenchie <applause> After falling into the canal she apparently swam 1,640 yards through the tunnel and was revived with brandy at the Hole in the Wall pub (sadly now closed and demolished) - there is actually a song about this ! All this happening in 1912. Take it away.

Thanks cologne. What do the following signify when it comes to age. VS. VSOP. XO, and what comes after this sequence?

Ken Furphy, Kenny Jacket, Neil McBain and Ron Saunders. This is four. There may be more.
Then there is Fred Pagnum
Should have been clearer. I meant managing English league teams. Ken Furphy’s six plus included a few septic teams, and Pagnum’s only English team managed was Watford. McBain registers three English league teams; Watford, Luton and Orient. You have two out of three, NZ. <ok>

The missing ex-player managed York City, Bristol Rovers, Bristol City, Cheltenham Town, Carlisle and Colchester. I well remember him playing, but he didn’t tally a massive number of games for us.
