Nobody really knows what they were for - forts, castles, stately homes have all been forward as theories as to what they were built for in the Iron Age. These days, they are generally viewed as shelters for livestock or hill walkers. The club played Scottish Amateurs but I do not know where and they played against Merthyr Town in the southern league. Wales is foreign.
We've had youth teams from Man U, Sporting Lisbon, Porto and a few others in a pre-season tournament which is no longer going but unfortunately, we didn't get to see WFC. My guess is USA.
