I think FIFA called them the greenest football club in the world but I don't know what the award was without googling.
They have planning granted for a new ground which will be built of wood from a sustainable source - at the very least, wouldn't that be a breach of FA or EFL regulations?
I actually think that the greenist club award should go to Porlock FC. in the Taunton and District Saturday league. They don't have a stand of any sort, don't offer food of any sort and never travel further than 20 miles
Unfortunately not Dave ! It's in Hawkcombe which is altogether mellower - my mother used to live opposite their ground. When they won their bonus was a pint in the Ship Inn - which is at the base of the hill - really how football should be ! Porlock hill is not as bad as Countisbury Hill, which is at the Lynmouth end - a narrow stone bridge going out of Lynmouth immediately followed by a one in four (at times one in 3 and a half) for over a mile.
Over to you Cologne.. They have won several awards for sustainability in sports etc Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
Ok. I'm going to be the first to make an idiot of myself. Robert Burns ? As in the song 'Scots wha hae' ( ie. belonging to all Scots - and 'hae'=hay)
