There was a film called Troll in the 1980s which starred a boy called Harry Potter...is that the one ?
That's the one - Harry Potter, magic, trolls, witches - I've never understood how JK Rowling got away with claiming the idea as her own. Over to you
You've got it BB He did actually name himself after their first horse........had he waited he could have been called Delilah. Over to you.
The word was first used in 1834 - so can anyone before that date be described with a word which didn't exist at the time ? Presuming that the phenomenon must exist before the description of it - it could be one of the Ancient Greeks, however, all forms of mysticism would have to be absent - the first to actually qualify under the modern description may have been Galileo.
Right era, wrong gender - but he certainly coined the word. Exactly - so who was the word describing when first used?
Just noted the 'wrong gender' clue.....so, a woman ? Caroline Herschel or Mary Somerville.....the latter having been Scottish I'll take her.
Mary Somerville it was - an amazing woman. She and Caroline Herschel were the first women to become members of the Royal Astronomical Society, made more amazing by the fact that she was largely self-taught. Over to you...
Cheers BB. For which olympic games were foam landing beds first introduced for pole vaulters - thus replacing sawdust.
