I do apologise, in advance, for a little self indulgence but I can't help it. I mentioned in passing the other day about my youngest being an actor (she doesn't like the term actress) on the local programmes thread. Well today I have just found out that a play she was in last year has been nominated for The Journal's Performance of the Year award 2014, Death at Dawn, AND she has been nominated for The Journal's Newcomer of the Year award 2014.

She may or may not win but am super proud of her AND she's a Toon Army member and goes to the match as well.

Link attached and she's the one in the picture for the Performance of the Year award 2014.

So what you are telling us is that there is a nominations and voting process for a prestigious award and a member of the Trev family seems to have done rather well in the voting process....

seriously though - hope she wins <ok>

LOL and I wasn't even involved in deciding who the finalists are on this occasion...honest.

Congrats on account of having both a bonny and talent daughter...

And having got away with the old-hospital-baby-switcheroo ;)<laugh>

Seriously, best of luck in her career and well done raising her to follow a dream, being an actor these days relies on parent's understanding during the early phases!
Also seriously... I knew there was a perk with hanging round with you old gits... This has given me an idea... I'll just wait around here like quagmire until one of you fancies having old JPF as a son-in-law...

Yes, she went out and won and I'm as proud as punch. The Journal hasn't got a list of the winners yet as far as I can see. But on the live feed at 9.23pm.

And no the person in the picture with her on the certificate is NOT JPF.

Brilliant Trev, pass on congratulations.

I am of course wondering what underhand tactics have taken place.

Congrats to you and yours, Trev. Once they work out you rigged the voting, don't tell her - just live the lie, man, live the lie.

Congratulations Trev - its nice to have kids who achieve something notable ...... I should think. Hope you manage to keep her away from JPF. If she gets any anonymous invites to act in a horror play with several dungeon scenes tell her to ignore them.
