That bit in bold is true. A local out here in the wild East was discussing the Hull City thing with me a few days ago and offered a scary nightmare conspiracy theory. Maybe its the Allams plan to drive away all the troublesome hooligan element, so that the only ones left are those who will let them do whatever they want. They will be comparatively small in number further adding support to the Allams grand plan. His thought was that the Tigers could be moved from Hull to another town or city which would be grateful for the chance to see top football locally like the way american football teams move and we become the anywhere Tigers. No chance I retorted the authorities will never allow that to happen. He first asked how the name change was going on, yea we won but the ****s are still using Hull City Tigers or Hull Tigers on everything they put out and the FA seem to nothing about it. Now we have this stupid membership scheme which appears to go against Premier League rules, and what are they doing about it was his question, well they said they would look into it was the best reply I could give. It will soon be the start of the season and too late for the premier League to demand the membership scheme is changed. Sorry to be so gloomy on a Sunday morning but the authorities appear not to be on the side of the supporters. On whose side will the TV companies be?

I know it sticks in your craw - but it will be full. That's why I said that if you want to protest then you need to concentrate on something like the red card event as it will be inside the ground and in full view of the cameras. Talks of boycotts are misguided as the only sufferers are the team & the people who cut off their noses to spite their faces by not going.
I think you're missing the point. The boycott isn't designed solely to hit Allams in the pocket - it's to highlight the level of disgust towards them and raise the level of awareness to the world. Do you really think an empty stadium on tv for the set piece curtain raiser on the opening day after promotion vs the champions wouldn't create huge interest around the world? If the ground is full everyone just thinks it's hunky dory and details of what these people actually do and have done remains out of the wider public eye.
It doesn't raise awareness to the world. People generally can't be ****ed reading in-depth analysis of other teams, they just flick between games, see a half-empty KC, have a laugh at how tinpot we are, then keep flicking to other games. I think people sadly overestimate the impact that a half empty KC would have on a global or even just national television audience. Active protests in the ground have a much bigger impact.
Is that what people thought when Liverpool fans walked out of Anfield? Or the Bayern fans didn't take their seats at The Emirates? This game is THE curtain raiser for the entire Premier League season. It's our first game after promotion. It's vs the champions. If you think it being empty wouldn't generate loads of publicity, then you're frankly wrong. An empty stadium with a banner with a strong message - even just a star spangled one - in the east stand in the line of sight of the cameras, would be a huge message.
Staying away for the first 10 is different. Those clubs are also a lot bigger than ours. The play off final is watched around the world, and no one over here knew we were protesting until I explained it to people. People just don't care to research.
They wouldn't need to research, an empty stand in front of the cameras with a simple banner in there would ram it down their throats.
You're assuming the camera will be on that banner all game, because otherwise people won't watch our game for that long. They'll just see the highlights which will have swathes of empty seats. I'm not trying to argue with you, just explaining how it looks globally. The most effective protest over here was the 'We are Hull City' or whatever the banner said against Palace first season, and the 19:04 chants, as well as the red card protest, because they were active protests in the stadium.
Quite frankly I don't think Sky would give a **** as long as there is a football match. A red card protest plus loud chanting of " We say Go Allams we say Go" so it is loud enough to be heard on the tv. Maybe even a mass stand up with backs to pitch chanting City till we die at 19.04 and/or 20.10
I agree with Sydney from an international perspective a half empty stadium probably wouldn't even be picked up on the match commentary as being a protest on the live feed here. A completely empty one probably would but as others have said a 100% boycott is unlikely. If you wanted to get picked up globally you'd need something unique and/or amusing that made people ask why are they doing that? How about a mass conger line out of the stands on 40 minutes singing Elvira Nikolaisen's "I found my way out of Egypt" then a mass conger line back in on 50 minutes singing "Born in the USA" *I'm not being serious before someone shoots me down. **In all honesty it doesn't need international or even national recognition it just needs to make the Allams feel its time to go (they wont care) and the new owners feel we are a worth while investment.
The most effective way would be to boycott the game entirely but realistically it won't happen, 2nd best idea would be a visual and verbal protest at the Leicester match, live on TV, red card American flags whatever and 90 mins of chanting Allam's out on worldwide TV whilst also supporting the lads should provide a solution more can get behind
Nobody mentioned a half empty stadium. Other clubs manage mass walkouts or no shows over much smaller issues, if we can't do this for such a huge issue then we are ****ing tinpot. I remember Everton fans mocking us for the tiny protests about NTHT when they were apopletic about changing their badge. And they're right.
Chanting just doesn't get picked up that well. It has to be visual so can be shown on tv and print photos.
It has **** all to do with supporting the Allams or the PL. It's about supporting the team that I love. I will support any protest that is organized in the stadium whether it be a red card/chanting protest but the only people who suffer in a game boycott is the fans. The Allams will not give a ****. A continuous stadium protest will also get more press coverage than a boycott.
OLM said that the Ask Ehab twitter site hasn't gone down very well at the KCOM. Making fun of the Allams is likely to have more effect than anger. Easy song to sing though.
