Yeah fair point, i'll just grab me swimming keks and head over to the UAE and knock on
Deliberate mixing up of the two protest groups and the 15 year gap between them. The coffin march was the Action Group. It didn't interrupt the game but got the back page headlines in the following days News of the World which was the biggest selling newspaper of its day. Phil Pinder was Tigers 2000 as was the open top bus tour etc.
The fact remains that is was Dave Dewberry and the original Action Group who approached Don Robinson, more so Dewberry. He made him aware that the club was worth buying.

The years merge into decades, and my memory went aeons ago, along with Brains!

Don Robinson didn't buy full control off the Needlers.

Agree we need another intermediary, not necessarily, in fact preferrably not from one of our protest groups, are any of them in the right circles? Wilby approached Lloyd at Wentworth Golf Club to buy City. Adam Pearson approached Peter Wikinson whilst in Leeds/Harrogate commercial circles. Duffen facilitated Bartlett's consortium etc.

Of course modern day journalism makes the details as clear as mud, the incident happened before kick off but the game wasn't abandoned until 2 and a half hours after the scheduled kick off time, no wonder the fans were pissed off.

Surprised. PAOK are so subdued normally. Like us they say it is up to the team to do something before people should have to get behind them. They have pleaded with the club to put a roof on the 3 open sides so they can create a febrile atmosphere like the KC. I dread to think how many fans choke to death or are incinerated or how many children are traumatised at these games.

They are just as subdued at volleyball games as well. Apparently their local rivals ARIS are more boisterous.

He thought he had though. It was only when he realised he hadn't that he cut his ties with the club and actually gave his shares away for free.

Agreed. I’m all for getting the games interrupted or abandoned. They get media coverage & keep the issues in the spotlight.

To really stick it up the ****s & piss them off properly you need to disrupt them & those nearest to them.

A 12:00 gathering each Saturday in their village followed by a march through the village to their house. A vocal 90minute rally from 15:00.

Piss off them, their neighbours & all other local residents. It’d soon get to them.

Would it make them sell any quicker? I’m past caring. Will it spoil their quality of life? Absolutely, reap what they sow.

In their faces.

'Would it make them sell any quicker? I’m past caring.' So this is all about spite now, Ben? Amazed at that.

WTF have their neighbours and other local residents done to merit this disruption, this spoiling of their quality of life? This is supposed to be about the Allams; but you want to be in the faces of their neighbours and other local residents. Shocking strategy in every sense.

Have they got a brick wall around their property? Graffiti target?

Bollocks.

Isn’t that the same as with any protest? People it doesn’t concern are inconvenienced. That’s the way of the world.

Have you never been on a protest march?Have your actions never inconvenienced others?

It’s about forcing change, it works & it’s legal. The right to protest, the right to march. It will always disrupt other, it’s tough love & tough ****. They won’t be having a word with me about it, they may knock on his door though.

Protesting works or doesn't, that's been covered.

protest was great or it failed, that's been covered.

boycott would work or wouldn't, covered.

pitch invasion, I'm too old and have responsabilities. covered.

So what genuine ideas do you have that the full crowd could be involved in.

Here is mine and it's intension is to remove the argument that it's the minority of fans that want them to go.

All of the supporters group publicise that they have two print out's, on A4 (maybe get HDM involved so every fan has access) that each supporter can print out at home, one simply say's 'GO' in bold and the other says 'Please Stay' one printed in portrait and the other landscape so it's easily distinguished in photo's.

I know it's lame but it doesn't take any bottle to hold up paper or smuggle paper in and will send a message one way or the other.

I think the hull daily mail are in the allams pockets judging by there coverage and bias towards the last protest some of the supposed fans comments slating the protests where shocking
