The only thing stopping FTL is gravity, make an antigravity field and the mass won't become infinite, and the only barrier to FTL is gone. And scientists are already making very weak antigravity fields.
As to 'God doesn't exist' can you prove that conclusively? No, and for all I know the universe was created when I became self aware, it might have been created 5 minutes ago and all my memories are false

There's not even a consensus on the definition of what a god is.
The burden of proof is on the theist.
Solipsism is useless. It's an unfalsifiable theory which goes nowhere and leads to nothing.

As for the definition of 'God', its not that difficult really. Surah Ikhlas (with its commentary/tafsir) is the acid test in Islam and if you go back to some of the earlier scripts then the other semetic religions said virtually the same thing.
The 'truly' religious people (from any of the religions) wouldnt have a doubt that the current notions of God in christianity and moderate Islam etc are simply wrong and confusing
As for solipsism, although what you say here is true, the same can be said for your multiverse theory that you sometimes bring into conversation, along with a few other notions you use as 'proof'.

There is something similar in hadith. Basically the best answer is 'I dont know' rather than what some people do.
However there is also the notions of 'finding out' and 'staying in ignorance' etc

I can't possibly categorically know if there's a deity or not.
It's a matter of faith rather than thought and, as such, is saying "what you hear" rather than "what you think".
Although, that Hadith quote is pretty good.

As I have said many times what we 'know' today is oft heresay and a manipulation, at best, of say scriptures. The notion of God today conjures images that can never be true

Why have the scientists got it in for gravity. It's a shame that it gets it in the neck all the time.
