I read a Richard Dawkins book at the start of the year which explains evolution very clearly. Maybe fan should consider reading it and try argue against the points in that
I'd also like to know why humans have a coccyx, more commonly known as the tail bone.

Sorry fan they all say pretty much the same as Chemistry is just an extension of Physics and Biology is an extension of Chemistry.

They don't all say different things, different research groups present different theories and refinements to current theories which are then sent out for the scientific world to judge their merits on their testability, research methods etc.
The open nature of science where theories can be refined as our understanding grows is a much better tool for progression than a one boook answers all solution.

Dont like Dawkins, he is a terrible debater and gets sucked into losing his temper far to easily and its ruining his credibility
Dawkins isn't suited to the formal debate format.
He's quite clinical and scientific in his approach (understandably), so he gets flustered when his opponent is either dishonest or talks a load of old balls.
He's far better suited to the written word.
Hitchens had a far greater understanding of both the arena and those he faced.
He knew how to 'win' and didn't care about overkill or humiliating the other side.
He could be pretty brutal at times, which was probably part of his appeal.
everything is scientifically taken as fact, until it's proved wrong, there is no unified field theory shows that we have massive gaps in understanding. Take gravity for example, we know it exists, we can measure the effects but the actual how is a total mystery, in fact gravity is still only a theory. Many things are taken as fact which aren't, for example that going faster than light is an impossibility and is a totally excepted fact, where as I can prove that it is possible under certain conditions, and these conditions CAN be created.
You're right except for your use of the term fact, In science nothing is taken as fact, NOTHING can be stated to a confidence level of 100% (and therefore fact). Everything is theory, a theory can stand as the best explaination based on observable evidence until another theory replaces it. Evolution is such a hard one to prove due the difficulty in acquiring observable evidence.
ah, but to most people those theories are taken as fact, I guess I shouldn't have used the word scientific in front, however most scientist will state that it is a fact that FTL is impossible, which I personally disagree with.
There's no such thing as, "only a theory", in science. There's nowhere to progress after that.
Feel free to prove faster than light travel, by the way.
Theory allows progression. If something is declared as fact it is then set in stone. Theories are presented as the best explanation based on current understanding and evidence. The scientific community and mostly the scientists who publish theories want them to be bettered as it represents scientific progress and advancement.
The theory that nothing can travel faster than light is still a theory, although one that will be damn hard to disprove. CERN thought they had accidentally stumbled on something travelling faster but it turned out to be an anomaly in the data. Still, if the speed of light theory was counted as fact they wouldnt have investigated the data at all. The fact that they did demonstrates it isn't of 100% confidence

After determining down from up visually or with their vestibular apparatus (in the inner ear), cats manage to twist themselves to face downward without ever changing their net angular momentum. They are able to accomplish this with these key steps:
a)Bend in the middle so that the front half of their body rotates about a different axis than the rear half.
b)Tuck their front legs in to reduce the moment of inertia of the front half of their body and extend their rear legs to increase the moment of inertia of the rear half of their body so that they can rotate their front half quite far (as much as 90°) while the rear half rotates in the opposite direction quite a bit less (as little as 10°).
c)Extend their front legs and tuck their rear legs so that they can rotate their rear half quite far while their front half rotates in the opposite direction quite a bit less.
