whats to give back? you have not said anything that needs any in depth response

growing you say? or evolve/develop. still basically the same thing

I didnt need Dawrwin or science of today to recognise the similarities in the DNA. 1400 years ago it was told that we are all made from the same 'matter', so no suprises there then that we share certain 'dna' with animals and fish and birds etc

Interestingly though the 'definition' of species is a group of adults who regularly interbreed, resulting in offspring that are capable of reproducing. If we are the same species as some apes this should by definition be possible, no?

Two whoppers in this car crash <laugh>

Evolution is not the same as growing or developing.

We are not the same species as other apes - we are in the same tribe.

There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved.

...no we are not - this is correct.

But your statement says that we ARE apes - therefore confirming that we are genetically linked to OTHER apes thereby, linguistically at least, proving evolution.

...and quoting Darwin when he was trying to avoid being figuratively burnt at the stake just proves what a reasonable man he was.

I used to work with a hijab-wearing girl - she was really nice but talked some amount of ****e when it came to stuff like this.

She had been to a lecture by a guy at the Glasgow Central Mosque specifically about arguing with Darwinists - saying specifically that he retracted his life's work on his deathbed.

This is a total misunderstanding - he wished he could retract the moral issues brought up by his work - particularly the issue it caused throughout his life with his bible-bashing wife.

Growing old is not the same as evolution. It is part of a life cycle. Evolution is the change in a species through genetic mutation that presents an advantage to the mutant. This mutation then becomes dominant. For example, animals that developed eyes close together had a disticnt advantage as a hunter due to the increase in depth perception. Animals that eyes were further apart had a wider field of vision. These mutations offered a distincty advantage to the animal so it therefore was more likely to survive longer and more likely to have more offspring with the mutation.

We are not the same species as other apes. We all have a thumb and have been grouped together. We evolved into a distinct species.

I read a Richard Dawkins book at the start of the year which explains evolution very clearly. Maybe fan should consider reading it and try argue against the points in that <ok>

I'd also like to know why humans have a coccyx, more commonly known as the tail bone.

Of course you do realise that the "by the Creator" part had to be added after the first five editions of the book, because of loons like yourself getting upset?
