That’s exactly how it is. I was saying to someone how the defeat at Kennelworth (sic) Road was important, because it’s a fixture we look forward to and the stakes are individually higher than any other away game in the season. If we won every game against them, it would mean less. Bit like the old England Scotland games years ago. But that competition is what drives us. The yank owners (I think they were particularly responsible for the ESL) haven’t the faintest about what makes a football fan tick.I appreciate that, thank you. I prefer supporting a team that has to alternate between the top two divisions due to not being bankrolled by a mega rich owner. Dunc's little outbursts were exacerbated yesterday by me posting on the QPR board that I actually wanted them to win a game at Carrow Rd back in 1976 when they needed three points to take the old First Division championship. I would always prefer one of the non money clubs to win. Leicester winning the Premiership was great for both them and for football.
If we play good football next season and get relegated I don't mind. How many of you can say that you have not enjoyed this season ?
In regards to the QPR game you talk about, I think we’ve all been ok to see something other than a win for our club if it helps a team we like (not ‘support’, clearly that’s a different thing), or knocks a team we don’t like. My wife supports Arsenal, she’s from there. I’m not a Gooner, but if they beat us, it’s not the end of the world IMHO (well, before the ESL thing, anyway
Good luck next season - and I am not any less of a Hornet for wishing you that!
