If you work for a company selling subscriptions and you sell 50 a month, then you have no right to complain when the man selling 5m a month gets made and put on the board of directors.

A myth that. Pretty sure that the record for the most watched PL game in China is still Everton vs City 17 years ago when it drew 365 million - as both sides had a Chinese international playing.

I presume this is why Liverpool signed that Japanese kid recently?

Since day one I've had doubts he'll do much in the prem, could be wrong obv, but they're really pushing him about the place.

Don’t know about him, but I do know that we were sponsored by a Chinese company at the time, and from nowhere these 2 Chinese players arrived. One was dogshit and never played, the other was Li Tie who was little better than average but a massive name in China, and our support and match views over there went vertical.
