So really you're asking the team to not compete for fear of promotion? Or, you do away with promotion/relegation altogether? Neither will provide us with the kind of football we saw yesterday.
Until the PL stops making as much money as it does we're stuck with it and it's what every pro footballer, manager and club owner aspires to.

When I talk about money I'm referring to what it makes for the broadcasters principally, it's they who keep it going.

On the other hand you could go up, spend little and use the money to build a state of the art academy like some others have done. The only problem is some places have fans who will turn up year after year even if they are going nowhere, still getting 20,000 and over of League 1 after relegation and we don’t.

Yes, but I think he has his head up his own arse a bit, and fawning over him just strokes his gif complex ego.

That makes it sound like I think he’s a prick, I don’t, I just think he’s far too stubborn and fixated on possession based football at all costs.

A perfectly good polar opposite scenario to compare him to in that regard is his former boss Steve Bruce. Now he really was a prick, but credit where it’s due particularly that 12/13 team he came in and set about making the most out of what he’d got, rather than making what he’d got fit his way or the highway. Remember back then nobody at all was playing 5 at the back outside of Italy, it was very left field for English football at the time but it perfectly suited that squad we had with an aging but absolute man mountain Faye central to that defence and suited the attacking wing backs and strong central midfield to the ground.

Yesterday showed when we played a good team we can match them, and that is down to him. He is a good coach. However when we play teams like Birmingham and are one nil up the time is to change style and see the game out. This is where an older head would help.

I would love Rosenior to succeed and he is showing signs of being a great coach and man manager but for frigs sake talk less and accept that you're in need of a bit of help from someone longer in the tooth than you are. This is the Championship, its a tough place to cut your teeth.

The fans get £8 pints and a chance to see 'Dick' Van Dijk mop up high balls all day long for Liverpool,we also gain the privilege of having to pay in the region of £50-£60 for an away game(no guarantee of a ticket though I'm afraid)...

The Club or owner in particular inherit a fatter wallet with which they can pay players £50-£60k a week and for that they'll swear undying loyalty until a bigger offer hits the table...

Interesting that, as a generalisation, it seems like those who get accused of being 'overly negative' are also the ones that most want to see us go up to the PL and for the club to be the best it can be.

The championship is great but nothing beats seeing little old Hull City in the worlds greatest football league, do you know how mad it is going around the world and people know about Hull just cause of the Premier League? And like someone else said, no better feeling than beating those glory supporting clubs. Makes you proud!

Their fans must trudge to the ground every week knowing they're on to a hiding and hoping they can at least get a corner,3 throw-ins and with much prayer...A shot at the opposition's goal.

The Premier League has changed dramatically since our first foray into it,it's only my opinion but it's been destroyed by the footballing authorities and greed!!

The one thing I would say and I do agree regarding being a consistent top Championship side,others will counter...To what aim,where does it lead if it leads to nowhere,will we attract players with the proviso that they won't play in the Premier League,they're right.

To be fair I've trudged to Boothferry Park and in more recent years the KC Stadium knowing we were going to get battered. Isn't that part of the attraction? It makes the good days feel so much better.
I would hate to be a plastic who knows nothing other than success. I sit at Man City a lot of weeks with my daughter watching them all, tourists there expecting 5-0. I enjoy watching the standard of football and as I'm doing my UEFA C currently I spend more time watching shape and movement than getting excited over goals but my daughter is one of those fans who latched on in latter years and I like seeing her happy. She comes to Hull City first and foremost so I'm allowing this manchester thing to happen and hope she grows out of it!!

Not if they knew that was the intention and the money was spent on an academy to develop players of the future.

Commercially, if we were to get promoted IMO it would be huge. They have already done some fantastic sponsorship deals. ... Acun and his people would have every Turkish supporter supporting HCAFC as their second team and his team has already proved astute in some of the signings, Philogene and Omur to name but two. I'd be REALLY happy being a Wolves with all their Portugese players.

Criticising what you see on the pitch and demanding better and more of it continually generally points to frustration and a yearning for bigger and better things.We have a support who in the main now crave Premier League Football.I have no issue with that!!

I've seen the Club at it's worst and best and nothing will ever take away or equal the emotion I felt when we realised our dream and finally achieved something many of us never dreamt possible in 2008....Nowadays,I see the Premier League as a cess-pit full of primadonnas and debt ridden Clubs.

It's not for me but it's certainly not my intention to tell anyone else what to think or desire...
