Haven't read through the whole thread, so apologies if its going over old ground. Just wondering if Pritchard is having some mental health issues, as the fact patterns don't really stack up.

He was apparently told last summer he would new a new club in mid 2024 as a free agent. Since then there were discussions/offers of a new contract at Sunderland. This should only increase the options for the player and worst case is he is still a free agent in mid 24. From a financial perspective, it would make more sense for him to get his head down, see out 6 months and then the options will open up for him in the summer. By trying to force a move in Jan is going to put him in a worse position, and make other clubs a bit wary. Just get the feeling the actions of the player are emotional, rather than logical.

He has been a good servant overall, he took a punt on us in L1 when his stock was probably higher than ours but the team soon outgrew him to the point he was a fringe player. Always thought in the later days he was better coming on as sub.

Again with the not going to games.

I had to move to get a job 30 years ago. Like a lot of people did. Unless you're retired or semi retired you don't have most weekends to drive up and down for ninety minutes worth of 'entertainment'. Would I like to go to every game? Yes. I can't justify the time or expense. People don't realise how fortunate they are to be able to do that.

I have an interest in why companies fail after working in several environments that slowly became toxic over the years.
It's very rarely a Ratners moment, it's a series of small decisions which build and build, made by people who slowly start to believe they're infallible and blame everyone else but themselves for the results of their decisions.

I've seen it happen in several places and I don't want to see if happen after all the good work that's been done so far.

Been there and saw that, but I don’t think we are going down that road. KLD had a lot to put right and it takes time.

Bored and bitter is the answer ...

... and clearly jealous of people who either go to games or enjoy match days on the forum.

Believing you know better than everyone else, about the club, Pritchard, KLD, is one thing and possibly true ...

... but basing your 'expert view' on heaps of guesswork, then sticking to it to the death, is silly and arrogant.

There'll never be a point when he ever says 'fair enough, you may have a point'. If he's proved wrong he'll start with the personal insults like a twelve years old. If he was ever witty, informative or original it would help ... but it's just endlessly bitter and tedious.

We don't know the whole truth about Pritchard but to use this to declare the club unhealthy, failing and toxic is clearly idiotic.

Don't agree mate, it's a current and unresolved issue at the club.

More facts, which are so far limited, will emerge ...

... close this thread and the match thread, or another, will end up clogged with Pritchard posts imo.

It wasn't Speakman. I'm guessing that O'Nein said "Listen here, Snow White, you're no bigger or better than all of the other Dwarves here" and sulky dwarf threw his toys out

Mmm,I understand what you say, but, whatever facts may emerge, he's in the past. Current and unresolved, yes, relevant to our future,no.
My concern,I suppose,is that those who have an anti-Beale....aka,anti-Speakman purpose....will use the Pritchard thing as a stick to beat with....and it's just another divisive issue, which, imo, isn't justified and which we don't need.

That's a fair point mate but as we saw with the BCB and Beale issues some people will just infest irrelevant threads and derail them ...

... even on this specific Pritchard thread people are using the BCB as evidence of the toxicity, in the club, that made Pritchard quit and will stop players coming here.

    Just my opinion.

General consensus at the match where I sit… “let the ****er rot in the reserves for the rest of the season, see how that does for his football profile”.

Not like he’s angling for a move to a bigger club! We are and will remain the biggest club he played regularly for! There is zero doubt about that

My opinion too marra. Mind you, some have gone a bit quiet since Saturday, a good performance at Boro might see them eating a bit of humble pie! :emoticon-0116-evilg :emoticon-0116-evilg

Reminds me a bit of Mcgeady does Pritchard. Might be wrong but seems the type who if he doesn't get moved on this window will a right toxic twat around the club. So will say let him rot in the reserves but wouldn't want him around the club tbh.

Insults are your speciality in our interactions. As evidenced by your ban for doing just that, and that in return for all the bile hurled my way, you couldn't cope with being called Mister Tickets <laugh>

Striking is a really serious escalation when you consider he could easily have basically half arsed it and done nothing for the next six months and still got paid.

That would annoy me more, personally. Get off our wage bill, don't drain it.

If we don’t get a buyer we could be stuck with him
He realy hasn’t thought this out
It’s not as if he is an up and coming player looking to move on
It looks like he looking for a final payday rise to finish off his career
He’s bee playing well of late and he’s made a big blunder

Shouldn’t be around the club or anywhere near the reserves where he can shout his bile. Stop his wages and let the twat rot until the summer, shouldn’t even get the chance to train

There's only one outcome to this....he leaves. My guess would be a free to another Championship club in the next 48 hours. It's a nuisance to us,he does give us something,he's a decent, clever player, but it's not a disaster. He has been better of late, but I've lost count of the times his delivery into the box hasn't got past the first man....frustrating as ****! Thanks Pritch....see ya.

I 100% wouldn't be selling him. He can run down his contract training on his own away from the AOL. **** him
