Well done today lads but still a shame that bastards nicked it a the end. Wish I had watched your game instead of ours now, looks like it would have been a cracker for a neutral (well, anti Man Utd fan such as I am <laugh>).

Played well the last 5 games, I don't think we have too much to worry about. We do need a couple of defenders but hopefully the board can see the obvious.

Good on Sunderland, another good win for them <ok>

I'm not optimistic for the Arsenal game now though, we've put in a monumental effort (great game-plan by Pardew) and lost at the end. Nothing will be more gutting than that, and now we've got to go and play a fully-rested team!

A game called off for "possible" metro strikes? Pull the other one! The metro is constantly off and we still make it to games <doh>
And to think it was the Londoners with the Olympics, you'd think they'd be inspired to get up off their lazy rich arses and go jog down to the ground to support their team(/sit there in silence).

Absolute disgrace, the winter break he's wanted for many a year. I agree we should have one, but not for one team!

As my dad would say, positively piss-pot-ical...

As you'd imagine, the sort of classically educated, high-brow author of literary genius on here that I am, I'd use an array of much more verbally astute vocabulary to describe my analysis of the situation. Twats.

Recently we've had the kind of luck, the kind of fixtures and the kind of injuries we had when we went down, only worse in some cases. Think in that way, the boxing day game today, and the fact we've got to play well-rested Arsenal in a couple of days, practically and usefully sums up our season thus far.

Very much agree with this. Looking at the midfield, without Jonas, Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa - we pretty much coped extremely well, if not controlled the game for large periods of the game. The likes of Bigirimana and Anita will have learnt loads today. Marvaeux, and Obertan in his cameo, showed they should be ahead of Jonas in the wide areas. Cisse looked as if he had the fire in his belly ala last season. Ba gave it a good go. Simmo looked decent for large parts of the game too.

And anyone who considered Ba and Cisse to have personal problems between them - see the 3rd goal celebration. Ba literally raced from about 30 yards to Cisse, before jumping on him.

Pride - is definitely the word of the day for us.

Its odd but I'm happier with that defeat than I was with the QPR win.
Really chuffed with the effort we put in.
Very few teams will score 3 at Old Trafford.

To go to their ground and give it the go that we did is impressive .. 3 goals, put pressure on them hit the post and crossbar. Good effort to say the least, but please just carry it on to the arsenal game.
