It was a decent game, lost a bit of intensity with all the subs, as expected. Really hope Bertrand us fit to play a part on Sunday?
Thought Romeu was excellent, and was very impressed with Hojbjerg in the second half.
Good to see a few of the younger lads involved tonight, though I can see a virtual 1st team game on Sunday.
And on the Jose front. Jeez he looked miserable tonight. Turned up just as the game kicked off. Cedric was a lot more receptive to the applause given to him when he turned up 5 mins before kick off.

Agree with all this. Hojberg's run at the end was the best moment of the game. Thought Austin looked lost in this formation although he did have a few chances, but also in the first half Long and Redmond kept being drawn back too defensively for my liking, if they are to be strikers.
 
It was weird how subdued and grumpy looking Fonte was, especially considering the standing ovation he got as he walked past. Easy to read too much into that.
 
"Looked good going forward, could have had 4 or 5 on another day. Needs to work on his finishing".

Now who does that remind me of...
 
Fonte's also not posted anything on Instagram about returning to training, which is unlike him. If the rumoured Man United interest is true then I would be 100% unsurprised if Fonte wanted to go.

As Fonte walked past in front of me in the Itchen, the crowd started shouting and clapping, he looked a bit startled, gave a grin and a wave, what did you expect him to do, a lap of honour?

He did a small wave acknowledgment but looked a bit embaressed about it. Either he wants to go, OR as the game had just kicked off, and as he wasn't playing any part, he didn't want the focus to be on him. Clutching at straws perhaps, but I hope not.

Probably just as well, Fats. I noted that the A34 was closed north of the 303 last night, plus the M3 was down to 1 lane by Eastleigh. Might have made your journey home a little long ......

Didn't realise until last night that Flores (ex Watford) was manager of Espanyol. Spent quite a while discussing it with my neighbours (who also didn't know)
Clearly not very "up" on La Liga :emoticon-0100-smile

He was probably just scanning the faces to see if Fran had broken her Court Order. His lawyers scan this forum to see if she is attending games to make sure Jose is on high alert. Like me, they were unsure if she was going or not.

As I no longer work or drive thiese matters no longer bother me although are the curse of the modern motorist.
 
I fully expect the club to address our attacking issues but....i was quite shocked how Austin lacked in terms of movement.
I know he's no sprinter but he seemed to struggle running about last night.

Just me?...ok
