The buyer has exclusivity and both parties have signed non-disclosure agreements. So maybe this is where Nicola Cortese is making his return to football. He said he would eventually. Personally, I thought it would be Serie A, but he could easily be heading up, or be a part of, a team of backers. You never know.

I also see that Sanchez was disappointed not to win more trophies. Guess he needs to know that we have something called competition in the English leagues.

I noted some of Sanchez' head and shoulders above his teammates performances earlier this season and I made a mental note to see what his reaction was, if any, at the end because he was generally looking at his fellow players and finding them inadequate. And lo and behold, he's a bit pee'd off. Thought he might be.

Generalising here, but Liverpool fans seem to care less about the ability, potential or character of a footballer and more if they are a 'big name'. Worked so well with Balotelli.
Yeah. That was the impression I got way back early in the season. He's the guy they should all be following. If they had taken his example right from the very start they might well have troubled Chelsea.
Far happier from our point of view that it's Bilic rather than Bielsa, Klopp, or Ancelotti. The latter three all have pedigree of winning things or at least reaching finals and exceeding expectations. IMHO Bilic's experience as Croatia manager is a little over-rated by some, and he's not exactly exceeded expectations at Lokomotiv Moscow or Besiktas since.
I think Bilic was always on the cards for West Ham, regardless of who else they said they were in talks with. History has shown they have always gone back and appointed Old Boys where possible (Bonds, Redkn*pp, Curbishley), no matter how many times they talk about building for the future and moving forward. I just wonder how long before the line 'playing the West Ham way' is rolled out about Bilic's style of playing.
The 'West Ham Way' for the past 20 years would in my mind be believing you are a huge force in the British football, whilst constantly continuing to disappoint. I don't see that changing under Bilic.
