The way it was done was obviously out of order, but can't really blame Newcastle for not renewing either of their contracts.
Ings and Milner going to be confirmed by Liverpool in the next couple of days apparently.
At least that means we won't have to worry about a Newcastle resurgence next season. There must be serious issues at that club for them to even consider Carver. He seems like he genuinely cares but he was so bad tactically, and that's before he publicly shamed his own players and lost the dressing room completely along with the fans.

I think the "talking" to will be explaining why he hasn't got the job and seeing if he is in the right frame of mind to work with the next manager, or just sacking him.
