The real inequality in the prize money comes in the "facility fee" which rewards the number of live broadcasts each club has. So, regardless of where they finish, Liverpool's 25 matches rakes them in £18.7 million whereas our 13 games fetches us a paltry £9.75 million.

However, we did do better for TV coverage than previously because of our success and back story. Need to keep ourselves to the forefront.

Not an over exciting last day of season (for the neutral). Sky must be so grateful that there is still one relegation spot left...they are showing the matches involving the 3 candidates. At one time, it looked as if loads of clubs would be involved, but, thanks to teams like us :headbang:, most lifted themselves out of contention. And Newcastle decided to make it interesting. The Europa spots are fascinating to us, but less so to most people, and the last spot won't be decided this weekend. The title is won, so no excitement there.

I am enjoying reading the Liverpool reactions.

Raheem wants UCL football, to play with the best and to earn a top wage - just the same as Saints last summer, no?

I hope they do just roll over and not stand in the way of his dreams. :)

But, to be honest, who'd want him at 100 grand a week? He's not exactly set the premier league alight this season. I think they should insist that, if he is sold, he goes abroad. He wouldn't fit in the "Big 4" of the CL, so he'd have to go somewhere else, I reckon.

They don't have to sell the player. I thought Liverpool were a team with CL ambitions. Obviously something has changed over the course of the season...
