Yes but I am sure you know what Tom is referring to. Pardew is a coach/manager, whereas Carver is a coach working for a coach manager normally.
Exactly. When Carver says he is the best coach, he's referring to the coaching role he had when Pardew was still at Newcastle, not now when he is more of a head coach/manager. At least I hope he is otherwise he needs serious mental help!
Do you think he was meaning that he is a better manager than Pardew then?
I think he was brazening it out knowing full well he'd nothing to lose because he's lost already. But he made a silly comment last week and he still hasn't learned anything.
