It's not that bad really. United still have to play City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
And they could beat all 3 in this form. United have got the momentum. Liverpool's has been stopped, which is something but United have got Villa next which was why I desperately didn't want them to win today.

Based on the last 2 games, they won't. They will beat City in this form, Arsenal and Chelsea games could go either way. Arsenal should beat Liverpool at the Emirates.
It's the Prem anything can happen. They also have Palace away.

We could be 5th after the next set of games.

And Liverpool could be eight points behind 4th, with only seven games to go. (Although I don't hold out much hope of Arsenal doing us a favour. Rarely do they seem to pick up any wins against the fellow big boys. And the one time I was banking on them to lose, they go and beat City!)

Then again, it's possible that Arsenal not doing us favour may yet benefit us. Thanks to today, it would not be the absolutely end of the world if Liverpool did beat Arsenal. And who knows, if Arsenal were to draw or lose to Liverpool, then draw Burnley away, and then lose to Chelsea, and then they sucked right back in as well by us (if we do our job properly).

I maintain that Arsenal are the best side outside of Chelsea and City. But of the top seven, they are also arguably the most brittle. Just look at their two 45 minutes yesterday vs Newcastle.

The best thing about when Liverpool lose is how much their fans hate Lallana. They do have a point tbf he isn't good enough for a team like that
