Yes the points against sides outside of the top 7 from last season do not count. I thought everybody knew that?
I'm not sure any half reasonable managers are available at the moment. They could well wait until the end of the season and get Benitez back. Proven track record. Or just stick with Rodgers and accept his Sturridge and Suarez excuses.
Who else is out there?
He is apparently now on 5m a season until 2018. That means compensation of approx 17.5m unless they have performance clauses in there (usually aren't but I never understand why not)

Well we shall see from their next run of games. Home to Stoke and Sunderland, Away to Leicester. Any less than 6 points from them would be a real worry for them (arguably any less than max)
To think tomorrow we could be 14 points ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham. Or to have same number of points as those two combined. 
We made 'em a gift of 3 points on day 1 of the season .................................... by way of a "thank you" for throwing all that money at us and giving us the opportunity to improve our squad. It was only fair !!!

Just got in from shopping. Well done Crystal Palace. What a team..! Hull are 1 up on Spurs. Already an enjoyable Sunday. Have to get the whisky out at this rate.
