Just looked at Wigan's results, and it's pretty coincidental: they won their 12th game against a low team (Portsmouth!), just as we'd expect to beat Villa. They then lost their next 5 games to Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, respectively. :emoticon-0107-sweat

We're better than Wigan though, but it is coincidental. If you want a proper coincidence, google JFK and Abraham Lincoln similarities.

Well today could hardly have gone any better. The whole weekend in fact.

A shame really that we've got to wait three weeks until we play City, Arsenal, and Man Utd. Right now, given a mixture of injury and form, I would take any of them on at this moment. In particular, all three of them have injuries at CB which presumably might be cleared somewhat come three weeks time?

Rojo and koscielny are both likely to still be out. Only one likely to be back is kompany

Kompany's the important one. Their defence is dog **** without him. Demichelis and Mangala have all the organisational ability of a boiled potato.

England are dreadful, & Hodgson needs to take some responsibility for that. Begging Gerrard not to retire & over playing him in the worst WC for many a year. How dare you suggest the bashing stops. It must go on, if anything it needs to be louder. :)

Any manager that is building his side for the future around Jack Wilshere as a deep lying playmaker needs a right proper bashing..............and I was one of those calling for Hodgson when the media were proclaiming that Harry was 'the people's choice'.

I am not going to make the mistake that I am criticising the pundits for by writing off Swansea and West Ham. Swansea beat Arsenal without 3 key players today.

This is precisely their point though. So what Arsenal had 3 key players out. The supposed reason the top teams will catch us is that they have such strength in depth.

No ****ing way is Adebayor on £180k a week? In a Mirror article it said he is. <laugh>

Just been reading Martin Keown's further analysis of Arsenal's failure to maintain a lead. I amazed myself at my own level of interest, but that's another story. What stuck with me was the look on Sanchez's face.

This photo is captioned by the description of Arsenal's dejected players. Yep, they all look disappointed. But I've seen that look on Sanchez's face several times this season [and I haven't been looking out for it] and I reckon he's going to be looking for a way out soon. I bet he wonders wtf he landed himself in at times. How the hell did he pick a club that keeps making fundamental errors on the pitch when he is playing on a level the players around him can only dream about.

Come to Southampton, Alexis. We don't make basic errors, and we have the data to back that up, too. :)
