Sounds like a rumour that gets credence by being repeated. Means Ashley has to pay wages to get money back, so is effectively paying himself. And anyway, Pardew could pay him out of his compo. Complete rubbish I would say.

I agree Fran. Can't see that. I think it's more a case of 'They are mates' that he is still there.

After this weekend, the teams that have been shown least on TV are palace, saints, Sunderland, Swansea and west brom. All have been televised once.

The teams shown most are united, Liverpool and arsenal who have all been shown 6 times.

Just was intrigued on who gets the most air time.

Fashionable teams get more air-time shocker!

That sort of thing used to annoy me, but I don't really give a toss these days. I download the full match later and relax. It's better than any TV coverage.

Just read that Saints are starting talks with JayRod to improve on his contract and extend it. In the same article it said that ManC may come in for him during January with a bid of £12M, providing he proves his fitness. They'll have to do considerably better than that before Saints say, adiós Rodriguez. I'm pretty certain that Koeman will just say no, in any case.

I'd started to believe all this rubbish that the Premier League is the most competitive. After all, only 6 points separate to top 6 teams. Except that in the Championship, which is usually hugely more competitive than the PL, 6 points separate the top 13 teams. Yep, still more competitive, and after more games too.

Haha, Tiss just comparing Saints and Liverpool on Soccer Saturday...obviously in favour of Saints, and how team changes is not an excuse for Liverpool. Yes, Lambert starts vs West Brom.

Liverpool fans getting annoyed that Lambert is so slow, though has a good touch and makes intelligent runs.

Not quite sure what they were expecting?
