Wasn't the theory that Poch was a genius and would be even better using his methods at a club with presumably a better squad. I think we looked more exciting last season...he could have done better adding a few decent players to the already excellent Saints squad.
And there we hit the perrenial question of ambition level at SFC. I'm not complaining but, if one removes the personalities that kept the whole thing together, the root cause of the player/manager/staff exodus was that the time frame of the ambition went down a notch or two with the change in the Boardroom. They're all still ****s for buggering off though. Not sure I'm entirely happy to see Liverpool 3-0 up, but it's certainly preferable to seeing the reverse score.
BTW, did someone mention Niall Quinn's awful co-commentary earlier..? I can only agree.

Just as Poch was probably leaving regardless of Nicola...I don't buy his loyalty to a man he had only just met. However, if MP had stayed, I don't think we'd have quite such an exodus.
