And Shaw not on yet. He is going to find things tough at United. He was signed before the manager arrived and he wasn't fit, so his copybook is well and truly blotted. Van Gaal is a tough cookie...I can see Luke struggling here.

Careful saying 'cookie' around Shaw, he'll only try a and eat it. You're right though, his copybook is well and truly bloated.

QPR's defence looks hopeless.

Which isn't great when you consider that the only striker they've signed is Vargas on loan. I don't want to write him off yet, but I've not got much faith in Austin being able to score a decent tally of PL goals. He surely wont have the same sort of impact that Remy had for them (and even that wasn't enough to keep QPR up).

So if you're not going to score many, you do sort of need a solid defence to make up for it.

They bought CMs, and that was it really. Sandro, Mutch, Fer, Krancjar, but no real strikers.

It's more then QPR's defence that looks bad. Their midfield doesn't even track back or press any one.

I get the impression with Van Gaal that if you don't suit him, he will move you on and not spare your feelings. Look how he treated Welbeck...sold him to Arsenal and then said he just wasn't good enough for United. Most managers would just have said that Welbeck needed to go to a team where he could play more....same meaning, but not plain unpleasant. Shaw needs some more nurturing...United under Van Gaal is not the right move.

At least you get the best of both worlds now. Can will Gastón on and be pleased for him when he does well, but no frustration if it doesn't come off.

I seriously think Shaw could come unstuck at ManU. Not the right move for him. In fact, any move was not the right option, in my opinion. He doesn't have Chambers maturity, as far as I can see. Mind you, Chambers went to a club that will look after him slightly better. Shaw should have stayed for another 2-3 seasons. Not that I give one anymore. My bridge is burnt.
