Seems amazing we could be watching Hull go down today. So many of us (including them) thought they'd done the pick of the transfer business.

I still maintain that they did (aside from Gaston and Ben Afra on loan, both of whom I questioned at the time). Losing Snodgrass for the season shortly after signing him was massively bad luck, whilst Diame has been injured for quite a bit of the season too.

If those two were fit all season, I'm sure Hull wouldn't be where they are. But instead they've had to reply far too much on the likes of Quinn and Meyler, who are simply not good enough for the PL.

That said, the signing of Hernandez has just not worked. Maybe if they hadn't sold Long (but given the offer we made them, they had to accept) or if they'd signed N'Doye in the summer rather than in January, they might have scored just a handful of more goals that could have made all the difference.

Much as Shane Long has always come across in interviews as a very nice person indeed, and therefore I've liked him, I can't honestly say I was incredibly enamoured with his transfer to Saints. But his play has grown on me and I sit here today delighted that he is part of the squad. I don't really care that we paid a bit too much for him. He fits into the team excellently and he has proved to me that his qualities as a player are really important to Southampton. Personally, I think he has improved under Ronald, but Hull would have been better to have kept him, for their sake, in my opinion.

Ok I've finally snapped, Brendon Rodgers is a tit. Liverpool side today doesn't include any strikers (unless you count twatbeard). Lambert sits on the bench, watch him get 13 mins at the end "to impress".

If I was a betting person I'd lay the money down that Hull will batter Utd, but with the favour of the football gods and officials against them, ManU will be allowed to go and sneak up the other end and score.
You watching it? Rooney swipped a Hull defenders legs away and didn't even get booked.
