West Ham are going to be tough on Wednesday and a win is by no means a given. However, I wonder if I a draw would not be that bad?

Had we beaten Swansea (to go with QPR), I'd have been very happy with two draws against West Ham and Liverpool.

But we didn't, so I reckon we do need to win one of these two (both would be nice). One win in four games (and that an injury time win against the side in 19th) would not sound particularly great.

But yes, without a doubt it will be a hard game on Wednesday.

West Ham did seem to tire dramatically towards the end of todays game. Tomkins seems to be playing with some sort of hamstring injury and they have a bit of an injury crisis at CB, don't know if any will be back for Wednesday?? Saying that they will be dangerous, their front two look very impressive along with Downing.
A win is certainly not a given and I guess a draws not a disaster but a win would brilliant and would really crank up the pressure on the chasing pack. European games are also on the horizon for a lot of that pack, noticed Spurs play Fiorentina twice with games against WHU and Chelsea sandwiched in there as well. Liverpool also host Besiktas before coming here.

Also just seen that challenge by Shaw. Should have been straight red.

Bet he's really on his way out, but they've just discovered some legal reason that they can't just do it.

What they should do is put Blind at LB and play their best CM Herrera in the middle rather than just constantly having him on the bench so Rooney can play. What they probably will do is put Rojo/Blackett at LB.

I watched the WH v ManUtd game yesterday with a WH fan. We both agreed that the level of football in the first half was probably Div One. Really, these were two very poor sides.

If we keep our discipline in defence I think we should be able to grab a goal and take the win. I can see it being a bit of a battle, but now we have got rid of that lightweight Cork, we have some battlers in midfield who can get it done!

Allardyce was complaining about being undone by ManU playing the long ball. The irony was not lost on the media, as his words became the headline.

I think Allardyce knew that...he was pointing out that United were playing a system that he is often castigated for.

The Monday Night Club was hilarious at times tonight: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b051ryrt
Very little or no talk of Saints, but I love the way that Chappers needles Steve Claridge, who is as earnest as they come. You're coming very close, says Steve at one point, as Chappers sticks the needle in one more time. People will know I really like Claridge for the no-nonsense way he puts across his views, and once again he makes a lot of sense on various subjects during tonight's programme, particularly his opinion on ManU's season so far. So good. Worth a listen. <laugh>

Another bit of news I noticed [apologies if posted earlier] is that Nigel Adkins has emerged as second favourite to become QPR's manager after Tim Sherwood. It's possible that all he'll be is a stalking horse, but if Sherwood gets too demanding, then Nigel is there to temper that.

I was joking of course. We'd have won 2-o at QPR if he'd been playing:emoticon-0100-smile
