I'm not so much 'worried', more likely to be traumatised by the price and wages of a lower premier league standard larker nowadays. It'll soon run away with a £150million war chest and it's a gamble on whether they'll cut it or not.Part of me would be very worried if we go up
Totally agree with you, I hate the EPL, but it’s kind of a necessary evil.I don't think there will be anyone who doesn't want to get promoted, but there are some of us who are not enthused by the ****-show that is the EPL.
Some posters on here get excited about EPL teams playing each other and "Ooh, look at Tottenham" sort of things. I just couldn't give a **** and know very few of the players that get mentioned excitedly in some threads.
EPL fanboys sat in the home stands, going to away matches becomes harder, and there are half and half scarfs. There is VAR also which will presumably will be as biased against us, just as the refs were last time.
But ...
It helps breeds a new generation of supporters. Kids wear City shirts on the streets and in schools. Hull gets positive publicity world-wide. The money, if handled correctly coild transform our facilities and future prospects.
I don't like anything about the EPL but it would be crazy to not want to get there.
That’s a very good point.I know this is a "when" rather than "do you want" question, but I think we need it for the money and Acun's whole business model. Could well be trouble ahead if we don't do it soon.
Nailed it right there.Totally agree with you, I hate the EPL, but it’s kind of a necessary evil.
It's been a fair flood of new players that's got us where we are now though...We did it in our first season in the Premier League under Bruce. We got Huddlestone, Livermore, McGregor and Figueroa and then added to it with players like Jelavic and Long in January to help keep us up. The core of the squad that played in the Premier League for those two seasons (Davies, Greegsy, Aluko, Thudd, Livermore, Dawson etc) stayed with us and helped us get back up.
If we went up, we'd need a few additions, but like Sunderland I wouldn't want to see a tonne of new players flooding us.
The lights of the prem are making people interested.According to people on X, Murat Ülker was at the game on Monday night and was even in the away end at Oxford. Interesting that he’s still following the club despite the McVitie’s sponsorship ending prematurely.
Any idea why he’s still hanging around or is he just a massive City fan now? @Howdentiger2

Probably total rubbish but when I was walking out the stadium against Wednesday I got speaking to a random fan, and he was utterly convinced he’s still funding Acun one way or another.I said at the time when he dropped the sponsorship last time he wants to be involved if we are in the EPL. If we did make it then I suspect he may well be involved.
Done.To be promoted

If we don’t go up I still think Acun will throw some some money at it with the transfer limitations in tact. It worries me if we go up, what utter big named dross we’d sign.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we bought one or two of the older Turkey national team players.
