I was going to post this last week, but things got in the way. Reading the relegation rivals thread, I thought it would be interesting to see peoples thoughts.

I like Selles a lot, given time I think he’ll get us up there, but time has not been on any managers side.

I'm not sure we'll ever get back under this ownership.

Totally agree, the financial gulf between the Prem League and the Championship is widening. Parachute payments are skewing the league. Next year Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester will have a massive financial advantage all the other Championship sides. If they maintain their squads they should all bounce back to the Prem and probably get relegated again!
I don't see us getting back, we haven't got the financial clout, and the outlook in Turkey doesn't bode well - (sorry no politics)

I'm generally optimistic, but **** knows.

How can we possibly predict with any optimism what will happen given the club's recent track record? I think Selles is a serious manager, but are we going to give him everything he needs, and then give him time to get on with it? Probably not, realistically.

Sheffield Utd arguably a club similar to HCAFC, spent ten years trying to get out of League One. I'd think that if we have poor leadership and interest, like the Blunts did at the time, we could easily spend a similar length of time in L1. If we stay up, next season will be a battle to survive without a complete rebuild. Depends on the owner's goals and objectives.

Burnley, Leeds or Sheff Utd must be bricking......In a two leg semi anything can happen.
The upcoming Burnley vs Sheff Utd game is more than massive...Burnley win they'll pip the Blunts for 2nd...If Blunts win or get a point they'll finish above Burnley. I was chatting to a Burnley fan after we played them and he said getting back to the prem was a MUST. Though with parachute payments not sure how much of a MUST.

I was optimistic last year, but even when in the play off spots I didn’t think we were strong enough.
I was optimistic this year, but after the pre season & the start we had, it went to a mid table finish, which just got worse as the season went on.
So I optimistically predict 5+ years, this is as long as Acun doesn’t do something stupid AGAIN, to add to his list of stupid **** he’s done.
In theory, it could be 07/08 all over again next season, I just don’t think it will be.
