Null and void has never been on the cards, nothing but the desperate fantasy of relegation cowards and ABLs.
Let me explain something to you.

Null and void has always been on the cards and still will be if the league fails to complete.

Nobody gives a **** about Liverpool getting the trophy, it was [HASHTAG]#nailed[/HASHTAG] on since mid January.

The people who speak of "null and void" do so in relation to relegation, you simply cannot relegate a team when there are still 29/30 points to play for.

Stop worrying fella, you will get a trophy one way or another so all should be good with you <ok>

<laugh> nice try rewriting history...

It's coming boys, season nuill and void.

Maybe next year eh?

With null and void nobody loses and nobody wins, all are re-set to the start of the season. Anything else is FIFA20 or wishful thinking.

It was "first" to be sectioned mate so, if the league is voided then @astro , if not probably you <laugh>

No rewrite there at all. Like those posts imply, there are only certain people who give a **** and you saving those posts kind of prove it .

BTW, posts two and three are obviously correct, you really shouldn't "award" something on the basis that somebody looked like winning it, neither should you take something away in the same manner.

The third post is obviously spot on <laugh>

I'm unsure how many, but a number of leagues have been ended early and i think all have just gone with final standings.

Why do you think the prem would be any different if it couldn't see the season out.

If your just baiting astro, I'll leave you be.

A bit of what you say

I think most leagues will try to work out some kind of "final league" but i do think it's ridiculous and wrong to deny teams their PL standing with so much left to play for.

There is still alot to play for, European places and relegation still have alot of permutations.

Theres not much that's fair about the situation, if I was in the championship but got denied promotion, if I was Bournemouth and got relegated on goal difference with so many games left.

If I was Sheffield utd and missed out on a pop at Europe for the sake of 9 games. Some ones getting the **** end of the stick, regardless of what occurs

Everything about this post is your opinion, presented as fact. <ok>

EFL clubs in Championship, Leagues 1 and 2 to maintain promotion and relegation if their season is curtailed. Recommendations to be voted on.

League Two already voted to end their season. They won't be resuming.
No they won't you're right but the EFL have included relegation and promotion into their framework for curtailing the season across those three leagues and if 51% vote to curtail the season then that will include relegation and promotion for all three.

Mansfield are in League Two so seen a fair bit about it. Pretty sure they said it would be worked out on Points Per Game (they've not all played the same amount) with relegation, promotion and the champions already being confirmed.

The EFL statement for those 3 leagues says that the recommended framework is: (I've paraphrased it)

1. Finishing the season with existing format is most appropriate ie. play the games out
2. If curtailment has already happened as in League 2 then the divisional placings should be determined on unweighted ppg, promotion and relegation retained and play-offs should be played in all circumstances but not be extended beyond 4 teams.
3. If play-offs can't be played EFL will determine course of action
4. The majority required to curtail the season in any division is 51%
5 The principle of relegation across all 3 divisions is integral to the integrity of the pyramid from PL to National league
6. Any solution has to be specific to the current challenges of Covid19 and conclusion must be clear and effective and the impact and justification easy for all stakeholders to understand

Playoffs are still happening I believe

I think they need to stop handing some of these people the microphone. I get that there's no sport to report and so they need to be controversial or whatever to get clicks and views but how about printing some of the positive things that we know are being said. The BBC are one of the worst.

Burnley had an unseen vote and every one of them voted in favour of going back to training, and expressed a desire to play out the season, not a single dissenting voice. That didn't get a big spread.
