PL shareholders vote unanimously to return to small group training starting tomorrow. Full consultation to continue with players, managers etc. as protocols for full contact training are developed.

Players back in training tomorrow with the aim of games starting on 19th June. If it all gets played out, I wonder when next season will likely start. I haven't sat and worked out a prospective fixture list for the remainder of this season.

PL clubs expected to choose an option today on which system to use if the games can't be played out. Three options being considered: ppg, weighted ppg and a further one predicting results in which from is taken into account. The club chairmen will be told today that a decision has to be made before the season restarts in case it is halted again with voting occurring at a later meeting.
It was ****ing surreal watching the Leipzig game with no fans. Werner looks handy, though <ok>.

We're living in a surreal time so anything trying to get back to the way it was before and using unusual methods to do that, will also look surreal.

I watched the game on mute so apart from the empty stands, it didn't appear any different. But ...... I don't usually watch Bundesliga so have no idea on intensity etc. and i started out with a preconception that it would be a bit meh. Well it was a bit meh because I had no investment in either team or the outcome but I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually okay as a viewing spectacle.

I got involved in football because I love football not football fans so if I have to watch a few games with no fans in the stadium,. I really don't mind. Once that first goal goes in I really won't care that the Kop's deserted. Longer term obviously is another matter.

Nobody at Celtic will be bothered. In fact they asked Scott Brown what he will say to anyone who says it's tainted and he replied "I will say to them look at my trophy "<laugh>

Yeah, but scott brown is a ****, liverpool fans are......

Oh yeah.

They were lucky to work for the PL and get tests while asymptomatic which let them know to protect their families
I agree. It does make you wonder where they each got it from; a trip to the shops maybe or were any of the six a player caught flouting the lockdown rules, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa. Glad it's anonymous.

Somebody needs to tell Troy Deeney that BAME stands for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicity, not mixed ethnicity. People of mixed ethnicity (along with Chinese) are in no more danger of serious consequences of Covid than white people. He has a right to be scared of the virus but not because of his ethnicity.
